by Marks In Time
Architectural photography for the firms that design and build spaces. One creative fee covers the work. The firm that hires us is licensed from the start.
Creative fee
The creative fee covers planning, light study, equipment, a full day on site and our expertise. It is set by the scope of the project, not by the hour.
Residential
One full day on site, 8–10 hours
- Single-family homes
- Custom and remodel projects
- Interior design spaces
Commercial
Scaled to footprint and schedule
- Architecture firms and developers
- Hospitality and retail
- Large footprints and multiple locations
- Multi-day shoots and twilight
Every shoot includes
A planned shoot
We study orientation and light before we arrive, and agree a shot list with you.
10–15 final images
We photograph what the project needs. You choose the finals. More are available below.
Architectural retouching
Exposure blending, true verticals, clean sightlines and considered skies.
Your license
Website, portfolio, social media, publications and award submissions for the hiring firm.
Retouched to the same standard and licensed with the rest of the set.
Shared licensing
Every project involves several firms. Each added company receives a full license to the same image set for 40% of the creative fee. The total can be divided among everyone, so each firm pays less than it would alone.
An estimate before any usage on top. Your quote is confirmed in writing.
Commit before the shoot
Firms join before we photograph. A firm that joins later licenses at the full standalone rate.
One shared image set
Every party licenses the same finals. Stakeholder-specific views can be added to the shot list.
Terms in writing
Every quote states who may use the images and where. No surprises after publication.
Priced on top
Wider use is worth more to the business using it, so it is priced to match.
National advertising and print
Campaigns, paid media and print runs beyond portfolio and editorial use.
Multiple stakeholders
Projects with several parties reviewing and approving the work.
Product manufacturers
Brands featured in the space, including use across distributor networks.
How we quote
A few details give you an accurate quote quickly. Every question is optional.
- Project type, location and square footage
- Which way the building faces, and its best time of day
- Where the images will be used
- Which other firms may want a license
- Timing and any completion dates
